The argan tree grows almost exclusively in a relatively small region between the Atlantic Ocean and the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. For decades, researchers have attempted to introduce the tree to other dry regions around the world. While some trees managed to survive, achieving the same fruit quality and the same rich oil production as in Morocco proved nearly impossible.

For centuries, Amazigh families have gathered the fruits by hand once they naturally fall from the tree. The hard shells are carefully cracked open to reveal the precious kernels inside. From these kernels comes the pure oil the world knows as argan oil.
Producing just one liter of pure argan oil requires approximately 30 to 40 kilograms of fruit. Thousands of fruits. Hours of craftsmanship. And extraordinary patience.
